     Koh Larn is a wonderful little island in the Gulf of Thailand. Koh Larn is located about 7km off the coast of Pattaya Beach. There are many activities here for visitors to enjoy, some include para sailing, snorkeling, jet skiing, banana boating, and swimming in the tropical waters. Also since the island is mountainous, there are some spectacular views for those that like to take a few snapshots. Koh Larn is also very suited for bicycling and hiking, where many bicycling events have been held here.

   

 




     The carved Buddha know among tourist as Buddha mountain or "Buddha mountain at Khao Chee Chan" is a 130 meters tall Buddha image carved into a mountain. Officially opened in 1996, this makes it the tallest Buddha image in the world. The image is carved inlaid with gold mosaic and carved into the mountain with laser technolog in 1995. This attraction is best seen during the evening when the sunset gives off a beautiful golden sight.

   

 




     The temple is considered one of the important Royal Temple in Thailand. The temple grounds is comprised of a mondop (pavilion with four gables) consisting a replica of the Buddha's footprints, where the relics of the Lord Buddha and his disciples are enshrined. The temple was built in 1976 before entering Wat Yansangwararam. There is also a lake on the right side where you can witness the “Wihan Sian".

   

 




     When you arrive, you will see on your right side a large Chinese construction. This is the “Sala Wihan Sian”, a museum which keep a collection of 328 antiques given by the Chinese. These beautiful antiques are mostly inspire by the traditional Chinese art, including the famous 19 shaolin martial arts fighters. The museum also includes some specimen of the famous Terra Cotta Warriors of "Emperor Qin Shi Hung Tae" which has been discovered in the China.
